Responsibilities
• Deliver expert-level translation and localization of diverse content between Wolof and English
• Edit and proofread Wolof language materials for clarity, grammar, and cultural appropriateness
• Write original content in Wolof, adhering to project requirements and style guidelines
• Provide linguistic feedback to improve AI language models and training datasets
• Collaborate with project managers, linguists, and engineers to meet quality and deadlines
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to uphold accuracy and consistency
• Maintain clear written and verbal communication with team members to resolve linguistic queries

Requirements
• Native or near native proficiency in Wolof with an in-depth understanding of idiomatic expressions and cultural nuances
• Proven experience in editing, writing, and translating Wolof content
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
• Familiarity with linguistic data annotation is an advantage
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a deadline-driven environment

Nice to Have
• Previous experience as an AI Trainer or similar role in language technology projects
• Background in linguistics, translation studies, or related field
• Experience working with cross-functional international teams
