Responsibilities
• Translate, edit, and proofread content with high accuracy between Luganda and English, ensuring linguistic and cultural relevance
• Curate, review, and annotate textual datasets for AI language model training and evaluation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine Luganda language resources for various AI applications
• Deliver expert feedback on natural language processing outputs to enhance AI accuracy and fluency
• Create comprehensive linguistic guidelines and documentation tailored to Luganda language use
• Identify linguistic patterns, errors, and gaps within AI-generated content and recommend improvements
• Support the ongoing development and optimization of Luganda digital language assets

Requirements
• Fluent proficiency in Luganda with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in editing, translating, or linguistic quality assurance
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for language integrity and accuracy
• Ability to analyze, annotate, and curate language data for NLP or AI projects
• Understanding of linguistic principles, grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances of Luganda
• Experience working with digital tools for language data management
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote and fast-paced environment

Nice to Have
• Background in computational linguistics, language technology, or AI training
• Familiarity with NLP workflows, annotation tools, and language model evaluation
• Prior involvement in AI or language technology projects focused on underrepresented languages
