Responsibilities
• Review and evaluate land control instruments, including deeds, ground leases, rights of way, and easement agreements for term, exclusivity, and conveyance terms
• Identify deficiencies, gaps, and execution issues across site control documentation packages
• Organize and structure findings into clear, standardized formats suitable for senior legal review
• Support due diligence workflows by processing and annotating land and real estate documents
• Flag non-compliant or incomplete filings based on project and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with senior reviewers to escalate and resolve complex document issues
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a paralegal or legal document reviewer, preferably in energy, real estate, or infrastructure
• Hands-on experience reviewing land control instruments — deeds, ground leases, easements, and rights of way
• Strong ability to assess term, exclusivity, and conveyance language in legal documents
• High attention to detail with the ability to organize findings in structured, standardized formats
• Comfortable working independently in a remote, document-heavy environment
