Responsibilities
• Create prompts and gold-standard Punjabi answers across domains such as education, customer support, general knowledge, and conversational writing
• Evaluate and rank AI outputs for fluency, correctness, tone match, and cultural appropriateness
• Review outputs for grammar, spelling, ambiguity, and prompt adherence
• Identify mistranslations, hallucinations, awkward phrasing, and culturally mismatched language
• Fact-check claims when needed and write model rewrites that demonstrate best practices
• Detect unsafe, misleading, or policy-risk language across use cases

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Punjabi or English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Native or near-native Punjabi proficiency with reading and writing ability
• Minimum C1 English proficiency to follow guidelines and provide detailed feedback in English
• 3+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work
• Deep understanding of Punjabi grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style
• Ability to work in Gurmukhi, Shahmukhi, or both, depending on script expertise
• Ability to work across formal and informal registers, dialect variation, and audience adaptation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot subtle meaning, tone, and quality issues
• Reliable and self-directed in a remote contractor workflow
• Prior experience in AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred
